SPECIAL OFFERS
Smolny was first used as an educational institution
for young ladies of noble birth. Its historical significance it got in
1917 when it became the headquarters of the Revolution. Smolny housed
the Communist Party committees and now is an official residence of the
governor of St.Petersburg.
